06060103/Sterling Fancy Siam Brooch
Over the years I've seen lots of Sterling Siam jewelry but this particular brooch is especially fancy. Convex in shape, the form accentuates the filigree edge that looks like lace. With its blackened center and etched Siam dancer, the piece is exotic and nicely sized at a bit more than 2" in length and almost 1.75" at its widest point. Signed on the reverse side, this piece is in excellent condition and wears easily on an array of fashions.

04060108/Sterling Set Marcasite & Shell Cameo
In a lovely sterling silver frame that borders on a filigree design, this pin measures approximately 1.5" in length and 1.25" in width and features prong set marcasite stones at 2, 4, 8 and 10:00 along with a prong set shell cameo carved to reveal the profile of a woman. Marked only with 'sterling' on the reverse side, the pin closes with a swing 'c' catch and probably dates to the late 20s/early 30s. Feminie and delicate, the marcasites lend elegance to this frilly piece that is in excellent condition.

04060104/Pink & Blue Spun Butterfly Pin
Light and airy, this gold washed butterfly appears to be spun from delicate strands of wire but don't be fooled, the piece is quite sturdy and would take force to bend. Marked "800" on the reverse side (indicative of its silver content) and usually seen on European pieces, this piece could very well be from West Germany or perhaps Austria. Pastel pink and blue enamel has been added to highlight the dimensional wings atop the gold toned wash. Measuring approximately 2.25" in length and about 1.25" at its widest point, the accessory is multi-layered and shows very well when worn with colorful fashions. Just perfect for springtime and in very good condition.

020606/Sterling Turquoise Crab Brooch
Beautifully detailed, this crab brooch has been made many times over the years but this particular brooch has components that would indicate an early 1940s manufacturing date. An elongated pinstem extends past the clasp by more than a quarter inch, along with its mark: Silver Mexico, pre-dates the required eagle assay mark of 1945. An oversized beautiful cabochon of natural turquoise, held with four prongs, is surrounded by highly detailed legs and claws. Measuring approximately 2-5/8ths of an inch long and 1-1/2" at its widest point, the brooch is nicely weighted and in Excellent Condition.

This brooch reflects the unique abstract designs the Mexican silversmiths from the 1940s were known to portray in their work. Measuring approximately 3.25" in length and 1.5" at its highest point, this bird with fish in mouth is dimensional and detailed. Comprised of Sterling Silver, the piece is nicely highlighted with patina is very well made and owns a pinstem that exceeds its clasp by 1/4 of an inch.
