110501011/Super Glitz Aurora Abstract Brooch
Abstract, maybe but the swirls and curls kind of remind me of a butterfly. With row after row of prong set aurora borealis stones in citrines and cognacs, two rows of prong set baquettes separate the sides and lend further dimension to an accessory that already jumps out at you! In a gold tone setting that only adds to the glitz, this brooch measures in nicely at approximately 2" in either direction. With the stones casting off hints of blues, golds and silvers, this is one piece that won't be missed. Excellent Condition.

100502003/Classy & Dimensional Vintage Cameo Brooch
Unsigned but with characteristics of pieces from the Whiting & Davis Co., this brooch features a polished background with a raised matte finished female profile out of what could be hematite however I'm inclined to believe the stone is glass. Measuring a bit more than 1.5" in length and slightly exceeding 1.25" in width, the cameo is seated in a polished and brushed gold toned frame. Classic in design in appearing hardly worn, this brooch is in excellent condition.

10050201/Nouveau-Transitional Ladies Brooch
Measuring just shy of 1.75" in diameter, at first glance this unusual pin appears simple however upon closer examination, its composition is truly unique. Comprised of four simple pieces, the pin is layered as follows: a simple pin back containing a basic "c" clasp that afixes to the brass backed "easel" with six prongs and holding securely in place a piece of lacy satin glass topped with a detailed profile of a statuesque woman's profile. Whew! That's a mouthful but this pin is really some pin. Nicely weighted and with only the slightest flea bites around the edge of the glass disc that does not detract from the overall beauty of the piece, this pin is in very, very good condition and wonderful example of turn of the century ladies jewelry.

100502023/Hand Painted Water Lily Cameo
Substantial in size, this hand painted cameo measures 2.25" in width and a bit more than 1.5" in height and features an array of green and pink colors. In the distance a windmill is seen and up close, cattails accent the three lilies. The cameo is prong set atop the traditional metal backing - this one lightly engraved "Charlotte" - perhaps by a previous owner. The gilded edge, as well as the entire face of the cameo, is in Excellent Condition and is uniquely different from most I've seen.

100501006/Egyptian Revival Sash Pin
I never understood why sash pins are called pins because they're so large and most people distinguish the difference between a brooch and pin based solely upon size. In any event, this sash pin contains a simulated double hasp and is nicely sized measuring 3" in length and just shy of 2.25" at its widest point. Marvelous metal detail is obvious on this piece that features an Egyptian motif complete with a scarab. Dating to the turn of the century, this antiqued gold tone metal accessory is in superior condition and would look marvelous highighting the hip of a pair of jeans, on a jacket or even spiffing up a pocketbook or hat.
