02150103/Late 20s or Early 30s Cobalt Blue Bead Necklace with Tassel

080201017/Deco Design Natural Stone Necklace
How cool is this? A combination of Aragonite and Black Onyx form a marvelous deco design for the neckline. Aragonite, named after its first discovery in Aragon, Spain is actually the primary component of pearls and shell! Real Onyx, a form of Chalcedony, is mined primary in the Orient and Middle East. Other sources of Onyx, such as Mexican, Brazilian, Algerian or cave Onyx usually are misleading names for stalagmitic calcite, a stone that is neither Onyx or Marble. The soft pastel color of the Aragonite against the sharp contrasting Onyx in a mix of small and large strategically place rounds interspersed with elongated rectangles creates the most marvelous effect! Perfect for all sorts of occasions, this necklace measures 20" in length and is in Excellent Condition.
