020301020/Forbidden Fruit! Peachy-Keen Pin & Ear Clips
Part of the Forbidden Fruit line that was made in Austria in the 1950s and issued only with hang tags, no signature marks, this set features pink plastic in the shape of a peach that is studded with white faceted glass stones. Accented by embossed metal leaves and stem that provides a true-to-nature look, the earrings are a miniature version of the brooch and all pieces sport their original clips and clasps. The brooch measures 1.75" in length and 1.5" in width. Each ear clip is a bit more than 1" in length and 1" at its widest point. Please note, an uninformed collector at some point in time tested the brooch for Bakelite on the reverse side with what appears to have been the hot pin test. Why do people do that?? This small mark does not, in any way, whatsoever, detract from the appearance of this set but it is there and you should be aware of that fact. Truly a nifty find, this set is in Very Very Good Condition!
